Preventing Athletic Injuries through Lifting

Preventing Athletic Injuries through Lifting

All too often a lifting plan focuses on a single plane of motion and increasing weight. It is common for strength coaches to talk about their job being to just get athletes stronger. In order to do to increase strength, they stick to the basic lifts that are limited to a single plane of motion. While this can be effective for getting athletes stronger, it does not necessarily make them better at athletics. Athletic movement is the key. If you think about it whether you are playing a sport or being active in life, movements are seldom restricted to a single plane of motion while carrying heavy weight.

This is why the Kettle Bar has been designed for multi-planed movement.  With the Kettle Bar, we emphasize the importance of moving through multiple planes in a given motion and then loading the movement more than loading the body. We are building bodies that can adjust momentum and inertia as we lead active lifestyles…keeping us strong, able, and injury free.

Kettle Bar would like to thank Cross Fit Blue Ash for allowing us to visit their gym for a great workout.  In this video, Blake and Jackie Evans join Hutch to work through a 30 minute instructional workout using the Kettle Bar.  If you are looking for a full body workout and want the benefits of strength and cardio building, then the Kettle Bar is your answer.
